Supplies needed:
1 or 2 tubes of choice.
I used a PTU tube by Jamie Kidd which requires a license.
Do not use this tube unless you have a license.
You can purchase the tube at CILM
FTU Scrapkit Daydreamer by Fantasy Moments - Download Here
near bottom of page
DBV Mask97 created by Designs by Vaybs Download Masks 91-104 Here
Let's get started!
Open mask and minimize.
Open tube or tubes and minimize.
Open a new transparent image 600x600 and flood fill with white.
Select All
Add new raster layer, copy and paste Paper 10 into selection.
Select None
Layers-New Mask Layer-From Image
select Mask 97 from drop down list, Source Luminence ticked.
Merge Group
Copy and paste heart frame Element 18
Resize 65% and move down slightly on canvas.
Add drop shadow of your choosing. I used 3, 3, 60, 10, black
Use Magic Wand in center
Select-Modify-Expand 3
Open Paper 19, select it in Pattern Palette
Add new raser layer and flood fill with Paper 11.
Move this layer below the heart frame.
DO NOT DESELECT
Copy and paste focal tube as new layer.
This layer should be below the heart frame.
Position the tube within the left side of frame and
resize and sharpen if necessary.
Add drop shadow of your choice.
Copy and paste as new layer the 2nd tube or closeup of focal tube.
This layer should be below the other tube layer.
Position the tube within the right side of frame and
resize if necessary.
Blend mode Multiply and lower opacity to around 35 or 40.
Close bottom white layer and mask layer, Merge Visible.
Copy and paste elements and resize,
remember to sharpen and add drop shadows.
I used the following elements and refer to my tag above for placement:
Element 10 resized 45%
Element 32 & 33 resized 30%, duplicated both and positioned onto edge of frame.
Add drop shadows. Merge Visible the flower layers only, after you
placed them where you want it.
Element 63 resized 30%...Used Magic Wand in center, Select-Modify-Expand 3
Add new raster layer, flood filled with Paper 19 from Pattern Palette and
move layer below tag layer. Select None
After adding drop shadow to tag layer, Merge Down
Move this merged layer so ribbon of tag is under the bottom flower layer.
Add text to tag. You may or may not want to use drop shadow on this text
but if you do then I would suggest the following setting: 0, 0, 100, 0, black.
Merge Down text layer with tag layer.
Element 5 resized 50%, Image-Free Rotate Left 90.
Element 47 resized 69%, Image-Free Rotate Left 45.
Element 44 resized 35%, Image-Free Rotate Right 90.
Now we're ready to add text above the fan. There's probably
not much room so activate bottom white layer
Image-Canvas Size with these settings:
Flood fill white.
Add text at top. I used path on a curve.
Use Preset Shapes Tool Ellipse, foreground color black, background closed.
Draw the ellipse so top is just above the fan. If needed, move it into position.
Line the text + where it intersects with line showing A with curve.
I used Allegro Font size 48 with foreground closed and a color from scrapkit for background. Type text then in Layers Palette click +sign close ellipse layer and
convert vector layer to raster layer.
Effects-3D Effects-Inner Bevel with these settings:
I added drop shadow using 1, 1, 90, 0 black.
Crop excess and resize to your preference.
Add copyright info, watermark, and text.
For the bottom text I used the same inner bevel settings and drop shadow.
I used a darker color from scrapkit for background and closed foreground.
Merge Visible
Export as jpg and you're done!
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial.
